3 held for objectionable social media posts in Reasi: Police | KNO

Reasi, Jan 24 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Police in Reasi on Wednesday said to have registered two cases and booked three persons, who were arrested for allegedly posting objectionable post on social media platforms. Acting promptly on directions of SSP Reasi, Amit Gupta, a case under FIR number 19/2024 under section 295-A IPC has been registered at Police Station, Reasi and FIR number 04/2024 under section 295-A IPC of the law has been registered at Police Station Arnas, a police spokesman said in a statement issued to the new sagency-0-Kashmir News Observer (KNO). SSP Reasi,Amit Gupta advised people to refrain from posting any objectionable content on social media that disturb the peace and harmony in the area. All the social media platforms are under watch and all posts /comments will be monitored. Strict action will be taken against the person who will post anything that is provocative and spread hatred, he said. Meanwhile, District Police Reasi appealed people to maintain harmony and desist from using social media platforms to spread hatred which might vitiate peaceful atmosphere of the district—(KNO)
